In 1988 Venus Records & Tapes Pvt. Ltd was incorporated by Jain Brothers for the preparation of proper platform to enter into media entertainment business. Later they diversified into the other part of the entertainment business i.e. producing and presenting films in1992 and distribution of films in 2001. In 1995 the company became an public limited company as it crossed the turnover of Rs.10 crores for a period of three consecutive financial years With the Passage of time brand name Venus has become synonymous to quality in entertainment business.

The company is engaged in the business of acquiring and creating re-recording rights in various films and non-films songs and in exploitation thereof by way of manufacturing Records, Cassettes C.D’s, V.CD.’s, V.H.S. D.V.D’S containing the said programmes and sale thereof, producing, presenting and distributing Films through Theatres, Cables and satellite, Providing Studio and Equipments on Hire.

In the Bhojpuri Film ,music has been Tulsi Sohe Hamar Angna, Sajanwa Bairi Baile Hamar, Bhauji De De Ancharwa Ki Chhaon, Sach Bahile Sapanwa Hamar, Humka Maafi Dai De, Nahiyar Ke Mado Piy Ki Chunari etc.

The company has a collection of ghazals from maestros like Jagjit Singh, Ghulam Ali, Mehndi Hassan, Hari Haran etc. The major releases in the Hindi/Punjabi Pop music has been Gurdas Mann, Roop Kumar Rathod, Altaf Raja, Hema Sardesai Jaswinder Narula etc. The sale of cassettes of Altaf Raja reached the all time high for any Hindi pop album and registered its name in Guiness Books of World Records.
